Lilly Sivers is an alternative media artist whose work focuses on conceptual processing and self-reflection. They not only document their own growth as an artist but also advocate for a future in which creativity and sustainability remain deeply intertwined. In their administrative position at a nonprofit thrift store, Sivers has witnessed the overwhelming waste of consumer culture and the limits of resale. Their practice often blends digital design with non-representational, material-based experimentation, using found and second-hand objects to question cycles of consumption and disposability. By reimagining what others might overlook, Sivers transforms discarded materials into works that emphasize both personal reflection and collective responsibility. Their practice reflects an interest in the intersection of process, sustainability, and the emotional resonance of art beyond its final form. Sivers is a BA candidate at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With a focus in Graphic Design, Sivers had three poster designs featured in the Dune Student Art Exhibit at the UAB Sterne Library in 2023. They are expected to graduate in May 2026.
